The Little Things

I’m not sure if you aware, but the lumber industry is in quite a state, still trying to recover after the shut downs of covid. What this means, of course, for people who build and renovate or do construction, is that supply is not meeting up with the demand for lumber. Things like plywood are marked up double from what they were pre-covid. And regular beams (or 2x4s, etc) can cost as much as triple.

The Homestead Sign

While many of the projects here at the homestead (and blog posts) actually cover several weeks of work due to Tyler having a full-time teaching job; most projects don’t actually involve me. This is probably why you’ll notice some less interesting posts this winter (as it happens this time of year) to allow for enough time for projects to be complete before posting about them.
